St. Elizabeth’s – Parcel 13 East Campus

As part of the Phase II redevelopment of the East Campus, the District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bower selected the Neighborhood Development Company (“NDC”) for a public-private partnership to develop Parcel 13. NDC is currently working on the design to construct a beautiful 7-story mixed-use building with 421 mixed-income apartment units and approximately 21,000 square feet of Class-A retail that will serve as a catalyst to revitalize the historic St. Elizabeth’s East Campus. This historically significant Campus is located within an opportunity zone and has outstanding potential to be a vibrant hub that generates substantial economic development and community benefits within Ward 8 and for the District of Columbia.  The project is located within a short walking distance of the Congress Heights Metro Station. Other developments slated for the Campus included a training arena for the men’s and women’s National Basketball Association teams, a vibrant Hotel and Shopping district, and residential programming including other apartment buildings and townhouses designed for a diverse economic population.
