Neighborhood Development Company Announces Hire of Patrick Cooper as Vice President, Development
Tuesday, June 21, 2005

The Neighborhood Development Company, LLC has announced the hire of Patrick Cooper as Vice President, Development. Mr. Cooper has more than 14 years of industry experience in the related disciplines of architecture, commercial real estate development and construction.

For the past five years, Mr. Cooper has served as a Senior Project Manager at CarrAmerica Development where he managed the programming, design and construction of a diverse collection of mixed-use, office, and tenant improvement projects including the exhibition, theatrical and broadcast spaces for the Newseum in Washington, D.C.

"Patrick Cooper will represent NDC and Bundy Development Corporation as a senior level member of the development team for the CityVista project, formerly known as the Old Wax Museum site at 5th and K Street, NW,” said NDC Executive Vice President Juan Powell. “He will have responsibility for the 441 condominiums being developed by NDC and Bundy Development in joint partnership with Lowe Enterprises, the Master Developer for the project.”

“Patrick will be charged with participating in the management of the completion of the design documents as well as other pre-construction activities such as permitting and utility approvals. Once construction starts this fall, Patrick will serve as integral part of the construction management team for the next 30 months," noted Mr. Powell.
CityVista is a $200 million mixed-use redevelopment project in the Mount Vernon Triangle. Construction is expected to get underway this fall.

Mr. Cooper’s previous experience includes serving as an Architectural Project Manager with the DC office of Brennan Beer Gorman Monk, where he designed and supervised the construction of high-rise hospitality projects. Mr. Cooper also worked as an architect in Atlanta, Georgia, specializing in medical, institutional and residential projects throughout the southwest. Mr. Cooper holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Hampton University and has served on the Board of Directors for Jubilee Support Alliance.
