The Residences at Georgia Avenue is being developed as a seven-story building consisting of 6 stories of Moderate Income Apartments, a ground floor neighborhood grocery, and both at grade and below grade parking. The 72 unit development will feature 36 two-bedroom apartments and 36 one-bedroom apartments averaging approximately 780 and 600 square feet respectively. Recreational space will also be provided. The apartment portion of the development will have its own entrance at Georgia Avenue. The ground floor retail space will house Yes! Organic Market. The entrances for the grocer will also be along Georgia Avenue. Weincek & Associates is the Architect for the project and Hamel Builders is the General Contractor. Construction began in September 2007.
